Lady Gaga Explains Upcoming 'Judas' Video
Lady Gaga is taking on a new identity: Mary Magdalene.
The singer, who will premiere the music video for her latest song "Judas" on next week's American Idol, told MSN Entertainment in Canada that the shoot continued the song's religious tones.
"The theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie, where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem," the singer said. "And I play Mary Magdalene, leading them into the town where we meet Jesus, and I will leave the rest for you to see."
But, she insists the song, which has caused controversy in many religious circles, is "meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it."

Fan has near death experience at Lady Gaga’s concert in US
A fan of Lady Gaga who had waited for five years to see the singer perform was pronounced dead for five minutes during one of the latter’s concerts.
Crystal Thornton, 33, suffered a cardiac arrest, but was brought back to life by medics in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
"We were just laughing, cutting up like we always do," the Daily Mail quoted her friend, Christina Tugman as saying.
"Then, her body was twitching, she stopped breathing, her eyes were in the back of her head, I grabbed her face, screaming out to her, trying to get her awake," she added.
On reaching the site, paramedics found Thornton unconscious with no heartbeat.
Cardiologist Dr John McPherson said: "They were able to get a defibrillator on her, perform CPR on her and defibrillate her heart, shocking it back into normal rhythm."

Lady GaGa has revealed some new details to NME magazine about several tracks on her upcoming album “Born This Way”. She also confirmed a new track title from the album called ‘Road To Love’.
Government Hooker

The sax in this and in ‘Hair’ and in ‘Edge Of Glory’ – is not just there for no reason. I grew up listening to much Springsteen and Billy Joel, so in a way, it represents my innocence.
Bloody Mary
A dark, pulsing and atmospheric, almost funeral electroballad, one of several tracks including ‘Judas’ with religious references. I believe that Mary Magdalene was both fully divine and fully human. She has to be strong when Jesus fulfills the prophecy to die for everyone’s sins, but she still has the moment of humanity where she’s upset to let him go. She had to be a superstar, but she must have cried too.
Marry The Night
Peak-era Whitney Houston-esque pop euphoria up top, with churning techno grinding underneath. “This is about me going back to New York. I wrote this about the courage it took for me to say ‘I hate Hollywood, I just wanna live in Brooklyn and make music’”

Told as a love story between Gaga and a girl from L.A., this is an acid house-fuelled Mexican-themed footstomper. “This was my first proper collaboration with Fernando Garibay and White Shadow. Lady Gaga credits late fashion designer Alexander McQueen for her successful pop career.
The quirky singer reckons Alexander - who hanged himself last year - was looking down on her when she released her latest single Born This Way in February, exactly a year after he passed.
'I think he planned the whole thing,' says Lady Gaga, 25.
'Right after he died, I wrote Born This Way. I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.'

LADY GAGA SERVES IRON MAIDEN ON TOUR AS THEIR CELEBRITY ROADIE
The pop sensation has been ironing clothes, prepping stage gear and handing out cigarettes and drinks to the legendary metal outfit during their Florida tour dates because she hails them as her favorite band.
Lady Gaga joined up with Iron Maiden during their Florida run on their Final Frontier Tour. The 25 year old singer has been acting as an unofficial roadie, helping the bandmembers prep their shows by lifting gear and even serving them drinks. A source close to Gaga claimed that "She is a massive Iron Maiden fan and was willing to be at their beck and call, just to hang out with her idols.
“She (Gaga) was humming along to their hit 'The Number of the Beast' while carrying out her chores. And after all her hard work backstage she was rewarded with some drinking games.”
Lady Gaga was more than happy to do menial tasks for the group just to be around them and take pictures with the bandmembers later in the day. Gaga was also taking many pointers from the group by watching their live shows and seeing how they interacted with the audience. "She cites them as a major inspiration and has been wearing similar leathers to theirs on her Monster Ball tour,” said the source close to the singer.
Although it seems like an extremely odd collision of worlds in the music industry, Lady Gaga would not be opposed to teaming up with the metal icons one day. "Gaga is always thinking of unique ways to take her sound to the next level, so a collaboration with Iron Maiden would be her dream," said the source.

Lady Gaga Is Godmother To Elton John's Son, Singer Confirms
After a lot of speculation, Elton John has confirmed that Lady Gaga is his son's godmother. In an interview with Barbara Walters that was teased during "Good Morning America" Friday morning (April 22), the British music superstar, with his husband David Furnish by his side, opened up about his decision to name Gaga godmother to their son, Zachary.
"Yes, yes she is. When you get to the real person under there, there's a real simple person under there who loves her parents," he explained.
Furnish added, "Zachary's going to inherit an incredible musical legacy from his father one day, and she will be a good person to guide him through the ins and outs of the music business, 'cause she sure knows everything about the business now."
Talk of Gaga's involvement in Zachary's life began to surface earlier this year, but the couple wasn't in a hurry to confirm the reports. In a February interview, Furnish wouldn't confirm or deny whether Gaga was the godmother.
"We haven't publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good!" he said. "I prefer not to comment on it because we are going to make a statement about godparents later on."
When John hosted "Saturday Night Live" on April 2, he joked about Lady Gaga being his son's godmother. "For those of you concerned that we are unusual parents, do not worry. It's not like we are the only two people involved in the child's life. His godmother is Lady Gaga. That's true, that's not a joke ... which is ironic because I've always said that Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars has good schools and great discos."
Elton was at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this week to promote "The Union," a Cameron Crowe documentary about John's Grammy-nominated collaboration with fellow music legend Leon Russell.
